1.) Management and Administration (MGA) Officer

Location: Abuja

Required Qualifications
Education:

  • Essential: First University Degree, in Public or Business Administration, Public Health, Finance or Accounting, Human Resources Management or other Social Studies from an accredited/recognized institute.
  • Desirable: Advanced university degree in public health, business or public administration.

Experience:

  • Essential: At least seven years of relevant experience, combined at the national and international levels in management and administration, including supervision of staff. Experience in supporting emergency or health outbreak operations.
  • Desirable: Experience in in developing countries. Prior humanitarian working experience at field level, with WHO, other UN agency, health cluster partners, recognized humanitarian organizations or with an international nongovernmental organization.

Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of administrative and management principles and practices (including, but not limited to the areas of Human Resources, Finance, Budget, Procurement and Security).
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to act independently and exercise sound judgement.
  • Advanced leadership skills and proven ability to coach and motivate staff.
  • Skills in programme formulation, design and research development an asset.Proven ability to translate requirements into workable solutions

Remuneration

  • WHO salaries for staff in the Professional category are calculated in US dollars. The remuneration for the above position comprises an annual base salary starting at USD 75,602 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable), a variable post adjustment, which reflects the cost of living in a particular duty station, and currently amounts to USD 3194 per month for the duty station indicated above.
  • Other benefits include 30 days of annual leave, allowances for dependent family members, home leave, and an education grant for dependent children.

2.) Technical Officer, Laboratory

Location: Abuja

Required Qualifications
Education:

  • Essential: University Degree or Diploma in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or in Medical Biology
  • Desirable: Master’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Laboratory Technology with specialization in infectiology or related laboratory fields.2-Superior Diploma in Public Health or Epidemiology would be an asset.

Experience:

  • Essential: At least 2 years in clinical laboratory fields /public with the national authorities
  • Desirable: Experience of working with the UN / WHO or other major international organisations would be an additional benefit.

Skills:
The incumbent of the position must have the essential knowledge and skills specific to the position, among others:

  • Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing diagnostics and laboratory policies, strategies, plans and regulations;
  • Demonstrated ability in national or international level laboratory management, and / or coordination of national or international laboratory networks / programmes;
  • Ability to implement regional and global strategies in medical products quality control laboratories;

3.) Driver (Roster)

Location: Abuja

Educational Qualifications

  • Essential: At least Secondary School education and a valid driver’s licence of the country.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of driving rules and regulations of the country and skills in minor vehicle repairs.

Experience:

  • Essential: At least one year driving experience as a driver and a safe driving record
  • Desirable: UN experience would be an advantage.

Required Qualifications
Education:

  • Essential: Completion of Secondary Education or equivalent.
  • Additional training in business administration and management procedures
  • Desirable: Training in Procurement and Supply management in WHO or UN system will be an advantage. Higher education is an asset.

Experience:

  • Essential: At least 10 years’ experience in general Procurement and Supply work. Some experience
